Description

Hoary Vervain (Verbena stricta) is a perennial with blue-purple flowers that bloom from the bottom-up, June through September. This plant will grow to 2 feet in height in full or partial sun and prefers medium-dry to dry soils. Hoary Vervain forms attractive clumps and can add accents of color to meadow plantings, gardens, or as a border. The long bloom time makes this an attractive garden plant, as well as providing a steady source or resources to pollinators. The seeds of Hoary Vervain are a staple for many small mammals and birds. A quart will include 1 individual plant.
