Northblue: Zones 3-7
This is a great blueberry variety for gardeners who are tight on growing space. Each mature bush is only 2–3′ high with a similar spread. Small, pinkish/white, pendulous flowers in the spring are followed by sweet and tart, firm, juicy, berries mid-summer. Annual harvests of between 3 and 7 pounds of fruit per plant are possible. Best grown in acidic, peaty, organically rich, medium to wet, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade.
Blueberry plants do best in full sun, at least 6 to 8 hours per day. They are tolerant of partial shade, however, will be healthier and more vigorous, and will produce more flowers and set more fruit when grown in full sun.
