Eutrochium maculatum, also known as Spotted Joe Pye Weed, is a perennial wildflower native to Michigan and the UP.

Joe Pye Weed (Eupatorium maculatum) is a very tall plant, growing up to 6 feet in the best sun/soil conditions, but strong stems support the flowering plant, so it rarely needs to be staked. This plant has dusty rose-colored flowers, which will bloom for many weeks in July and August, becoming very popular for butterflies and other pollinators.  Joe Pye Weed prefers full sun to partial shade, medium to wet soil and will grow in muck, clay or loam. A quart will include 1 individual plant.
